Autumn on the Bog

This morning was absolutely stunning.  The fog had not quite yet lifted off of the bog and the sun was shining on its way up, so off I went in search of pictures to share.  I saw a huge owl land in a large White Pine across the bog, but had only armed myself with my 60mm lens, which was unfortunate.  That being said, the fog was high so I don’t think I would have gotten a clear shot anyway which is why I only brought that one lens to start with.  Fall is my favorite time of year.  I love the contrast in the colors against the frost and the fog that rises off of the bog on those cool mornings.  Sometimes I can’t believe I live in such a beautiful place.  It is the kind of quiet that catches you off-guard.  A squirrel hopping on the littered woods floor is amplified by the quiet.  There are times I swear a bear must be coming through and I turn around, only to see a squirrel spooked up a tree by my incredibly loud footsteps.  I love it here.
