Frenchman’s Bay, Downeast Maine

Way up Route 1 in Maine in a small town called Lamoine, we spent a week in a house on the shore.  These pictures are of the spectacular views from the property.  The weather was gorgeous.  Yes, even the raw, rainy days made beautiful and interesting pictures.  The stormy days were mostly taken in black & white, which I thought would add to the drama.  There were all kinds of birds, harbor seals and boats.  I was disappointed in a couple of things that I missed with the camera — porpoises (which I got to see) and an alleged sea monster that made two appearances.  I missed that entirely.  It figures.  I waited for that thing for an hour after someone saw it surface twice, but the wait was in vain.  It didn’t come back.  This is basically what I looked at all week.  I already miss it.  I hope you enjoy this post!
